My Approach

Feel Grounded in Support 

At some point in our lives, distress, dysregulation, and disconnect can feel overwhelming.  Reaching out for support can be daunting but you are not alone in this journey.

 

Tethered Psychotherapy is about feeling grounded with the support that you have access to and connecting to the resources that provide you with a sense of belonging and restoration of self- and co-regulation.  

I believe that the client is the expert of their own life.  I would be honoured to be your guide and collaboratively work towards your goals by honing onto your skills and resources.  I will be utilizing evidence-based therapies catered to your unique needs.  This may include:

 

- Narrative therapy 

- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

- Internal Family Systems (IFS)

- Trauma-Informed Therapies

The Process

Consultation

Therapeutic progress is all about the therapeutic relationship.  

That is why finding the right fit for you is of the utmost importance.  Folks interested in therapy are encouraged to book a 15-minute phone consultation to determine alignment with their future therapist.  

First Session

Explore with your therapist the heart of your concerns.  This will be an opportunity to get better acquainted and develop a plan to best meet your needs and goals. 

Subsequent Sessions 

Maintain the progress with your mental health through ongoing support. This will provide an opportunity to collaboratively set your plan into motion, get to the root of your concerns, and develop new coping skills.
